Kevin W. Keithley
Kevin W. Keithley graduated magna cum laude from Southern Oregon State College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He then entered the tax department at Arthur Andersen, receiving his CPA certificate in July 1987. After working at Arthur Andersen for 11 years, he started his own tax and accounting practice in July 1996 in downtown Portland.
Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of CPAs. He has also served on local non-profit boards as a director and finance chair over his 35-year career, including the Dougy Center, Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, and the STARS Foundation.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys hiking on Mt. Hood, enjoying fine whiskey, and spending time with his family. He is extremely good at board games.
Sherril W. Keithley
Sherril graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Accounting in 1986, and received her CPA certification in 1989. After graduation, she began working in public accounting at Arthur Andersen in the tax department, spending five years there before shifting to the public/private sector. She spent two years at ESI as their tax manager, overseeing preparation of federal and state returns and a substantial IRS audit. Over the next fifteen years, while her children were growing up, she worked as a consultant for various companies mostly related to tax preparation, but also worked in accounting, forensics accounting, and family-owned business management. Sherril joined Kevin W. Keithley, CPA, PC about fifteen years ago, working as-needed while also spending time as a tax manager for another firm.
In her free time outside tax season, Sherril enjoys traveling. She and the rest of the team concur: if she’s not working, she’s on vacation! She enjoys spending time in Mexico, New York City, Hawaii, Palm Springs, and camping in various places. She also enjoys happy hours, movies, dinners, and spending time with her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren.
Daryna Olinyk
Daryna joined the firm as the office administrator in July of 2022. She is currently an accounting student at Portland State University and previously held positions in retail and in a cafe, where she perfected her barista skills. Daryna is fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian and was once a news editor for her high school newspaper, The Highlander. She nearly went into computer science, learning Javascript and quantum computing, but decided that the finance world was the place for her.
When she’s not in the office or on campus, Daryna enjoys cooking, baking, hiking to new waterfalls, and reading historical fiction.
Samantha K. Stidham
Sam is an elementary school speech-language pathologist by day and firm website manager by night. While she was in graduate school for speech-language pathology, she joined the firm as the office administrator - and learned a lot about taxes along the way! She decided she couldn’t stay away completely, and now manages the website and helps out around the office during busy season.
When she’s not doing speech therapy or keeping the office cheerful during busy season evenings, Sam enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, baking, and crafting.
